Why is Yeast-Free Pizza Dough is Easier & Faster Than Yeasted Pizza Dough?
While yeast provides a beautiful flavor, it is not a must to create a homemade pizza. Here in this Recipe, Pizza dough’s raising agent is baking powder and baking soda, which activates once you add the water and curd, so there is no waiting around for proofing dough. It can be made and the whole pizza can be made in a fraction of the time it takes to make yeasted pizza dough. This is a great recipe to make with the kids as it really is foolproof.
Sometimes we are tired of long and lengthy pizza recipe which required waiting for the dough to undergo multiple rises over the course of many hours. And that time we all needed a pizza recipe that tasted amazing but could be thrown together in just few minutes, flat! So here it is…
Ingredients for easy Homemade 15 Minutes NO OVEN, NO YEAST Pizza:
All-purpose flour/Maida:
I regularly use all-purpose flour/maida to make this 15 Minutes NO OVEN, NO YEAST Pizza Recipe. You can replace it with whole wheat flour. You can also use half all-purpose flour/maida and half wheat flour.
Milk powder:
It gives rich flavor and taste to dough.
Baking Powder & Baking Soda:
They working as a raising agent, which activates once you add the water and curd, so there is no waiting around for proofing dough. It can be made and the whole pizza can be made in a fraction of the time.
- Pizza Sauce:
Toppings:
The unanimous pizza topping of choice for my family is Onions, Tomato, Corn, and lots of Cheese. My husband prefers some greens specially spinach and corn with cheese. And My son only loves Cheese. But you can top your dough with anything…let your imagination run wild.
How to make 15 Minutes NO OVEN, NO YEAST Pizza
Since I literally make this easy homemade pizza once a week (at least), I have gathered a whole slew of tips and tricks to ensure it turns out perfectly for you every single time. So, let’s walk through the process step by step.
Make the Pizza Dough –
In a large mixing bowl, add maida/all purpose flour (dough is also fantastic with part whole wheat flour or all maida; it’s up to you), Milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and curd and stir to combine.
I make this easy pizza dough recipe by hand, but it can easily be made and kneaded in a standing mixer. It’s so fast and simple that I prefer to save some dishes and not pull out my mixer for this one.
Knead it until it becomes smooth and not sticky. Adding a little oil to achieve the perfect consistency. Cover and set this aside for 5 minutes.
Make Pizza Toppings –
While pizza dough is resting, make your favorite toppings.
Heat oil in a pan or nonstick tawa, add sliced onion, capsicum, tomato, chilli flakes, oregano and salt to taste and toss them for few seconds.
I added vegetables toppings to it what I had in my fridge but you can top the pizza with whatever takes your fancy or whatever you have lying around.
Make some Homemade Pizza Sauce:
While your dough is resting… make this Homemade Pizza Sauce or White Pizza Sauce.
Even you prepared it earlier and store for a week in refrigerator.
(This Sauce is quite versatile, you can add in pasta, lasagna, sandwiches or anything. One can always find this both Homemade red and white sauces in my refrigerator.)
Roll the Dough:
After 5 minutes of rest start the dough by forming it into your desired shape. I usually make rectangular pizzas because they’re easier to cut (in my opinion). However, my son has made them in fun shapes too, including a square shaped and obviously round like in this post.
Once you form it into the desired shape, roll it out on a well-floured surface until it’s about 1/2″ thick.
Cook one side of Pizza in a Nonstick Pan or Tawa-
Since we don’t use Oven in this recipe, I cook one side of Pizza before putting the toppings on. I have had a few too many experiences with perfectly browned cheese on top of disappointing, undercooked crust. Ooops! So, to make sure that doesn’t happen I do two things.
1] Cook one side of Pizza for 5 minutes (no more) in the preheated Tawa or Pan until it looks slightly set and a little bubbly (not brown at all)
2] Cook the pizza on the low flame and with a lid to ensure the crust is cook perfectly.
Add Toppings and Cook:
Once one side of pizza is done, slather on the sauce, toppings, etc. and cook for 7-8 minutes with a lid until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
Let it cool and Serve:
Avoid burning your mouth on lava hot sauce, let the finished pizza cool for at least 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving.
A Few Tips On Making The Best Homemade 15 Minutes Pizza:
- Use good quality Pizza Sauce. If your sauce is not good, your pizza will be not good. As I’ve said earlier, this Homemade Pizza sauce is the best because its fresh and homemade and also it has the great taste.
- Toss your topping first with oregano and chilli flakes. This will give you an amazing experience.
- Watch the pizza carefully. The pizza goes from almost done to too brown fairly quickly. So be careful!
When you try these pizzas, report back and let me know what toppings you tried. You can totally get creative and make it your own. It’s such a simple and great recipe.
