Ingredients used in Bajra Raab Recipe –

This bajra raab recipe uses some very humble ingredients to give you a treat that’s truly special. The main ingredients are Ghee, Jaggery and Bajra flour which is found in every Indian household. Apart from these, I also add ginger, dry ginger powder and almond powder. It gives it our raab an aromatic flavour and a great nutty taste!

  • Bajra flour – Also known as pearl millet, you will easily get it at nearby stores. You can also make this raab using wheat flour or ragi flour instead.
  • Ghee – I prefer using good quality ghee as it enhances the flavour and complements the flavour of bajra flour and jaggery. I used Desi Ghee.
  • Jaggery – Instead of sugar, I’m using jaggery for this raab. Make sure you use one which has a pure flavor of jaggery!

  • Ginger – In Indian kitchens, ginger is indispensable. It has medicinal value and is used to cure multiple throat ailments. It also helps in boosting immunity. Ginger soothes the throat, relieves chest congestion and also gives the body the much-needed push that’s needed for immunity thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Ginger powder – They help in digestion and to flush out any sinuses from the body.
  • Almond powder – Another ingredient that goes beautifully in raab and helps us build immunity is almonds. This helps a substantial amount in building the immune system.
